Our events are typically held during the summer months. Please visit our 2025 Event page for the specific dates and details.

All ages are welcome, but the events are generally aimed at elementary, middle, & high school-aged children. This is because we may not have equipment sized for younger kids but we are happy to work with families to accommodate any participants outside of this age range so they can participate!

We provide accommodations for all physical or cognitive disabilities. Our events are focused on providing opportunities for any child with a disability to participate in community sport activities to foster confidence, camaraderie, and personal growth.

We recommend that participants arrive at the event in what they want to wear in the pool for the swim portion (swimsuit, swim shirt, etc.). We will provide event t-shirts for every participant to wear during the remainder of the race - you will receive this when you check in at the event. Participants should also have tennis shoes to wear for the outdoor portions of the race. There is a family locker room by the pool if athletes want to change after the swim portion!

• Bike (if they have their own)
• Helmet (if they have their own)

If the participant has their own bike, then YES please bring that bike! If the participant needs an adaptive bike or does not have their own bike, you will indicate this on the registration form and a bike will be provided. We will have specialists from NSCD on site to help with the adaptive bikes to make sure each child gets fit on the right bike!

No, we will meet each athlete where they are at with their swimming abililities! If they would like to swim independently, then we will be by their side to cheer them on. Otherwise, the pool volunteers will provide however much assistance the athlete needs in the water. There will also be various flotation devices available. The pool has a ladder, a zero-entry, and a chair lift to help assist with entry and exits as needed!

When signing up for the event, you will complete a detailed registration form to provide any necessary information about the participant. Before the event, we will ensure that any necessary adapted equipment will be ready on race day. This information will also be given to the participant's athlete buddy so they are aware of the best way they can support the athlete.

Participation is free! We rely on donations from individuals and businesses in the community to make this event possible and as accessible as possible. If you feel inclined to donate - please do! All donations go towards the cost of this event and future adapted triathlons in the area. Front Range Adapted Triathlon is a 501c3 non-profit and all donations are tax-deductible.
